The Master Chief Collection Comes To Steam

The MCC is a collection of four games that date back as far as  November 15, 2001, which was the first ever Halo game to be released, Halo : Combat Evolved. The game was an extraordinary success and made the Xbox a strong new competitor in the gaming industry. No first person shooter had been so futuristic and modern as Halo when it was first released. 

The game continued to dominate the first person shooter scene up to it’s third release Halo 3. The game had gained so many fans with a lot of momentum to pull through with another great addition to the franchise, and thus they made Halo 4 completing the “Master Chief Collection.” The Collection contains Halo Anniversary, a remastered take on Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 Anniversary, a beautifully remastered Halo 2 with movie like cut-scenes, original Halo 3 and Halo 4.

The Master Chief Collection was originally released with the Xbox One, being one of the front runners for the next generation of consoles and gaming, helping people remember and replay such forgotten classics and rekindling the love for the games that people had once thought dead. This turn into remastering and making the classics much more smooth and easy access to play made many players of the older games return to see the once unrivaled games in their fresh coat of paint.

With the remastering and remaking of Halo: Combat Evolved And Halo 2, players had been wanting a remake or re-release of another fan favorite, Halo Reach. Halo reach was one of the most competitive versions of Halo, being the upbringing for the Halo Championships and bringing about the ranked arena, making players test their skill against skill, wit against wit, making one feel accomplished by becoming world renowned as the best of the best.

Yet now the wait is over, as the Master Chief Collection has returned with another great addition, Halo Reach, pulling thousands of players out of their nostalgia to see the once great game re-released for future generation consoles alongside the original classics. Along with the addition, they added the MCC to Steam, allowing PC players to have access to all of the games along with Halo Reach, and as such it has hit the top of Steam’s most played games making it the most anticipated game to come to Steam in a while.

Steam now has access to some of the best games ever created, and thus this year and next year will be filled with nothing but Halo the next great title is released to topple the king of first person shooters. Until then, you can pre-order the MCC on steam for a full price-tag of 39.99 for all of Halo Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, and Halo 4, or if you only wish to own Halo Reach then you can only get Reach  along with a prematurely made “Battle-pass” for only 9.99.
