Cypress Ranch High School has greeted Homecoming season this year with a vibrant tropical-themed dress-up week, perfectly aligned with this year’s “A Night In Paradise” theme.
Last Monday’s “Twinning in the Tropics” saw students, teachers and even the entire AP staff embracing school spirit by dressing as twins. Tuesday brought a wave of Hawaiian shirts for “Tropical Tuesday,” reviving summer vibes in September. The spirit continued with “Wacky Hair Wednesday,” “Luau Day” on Thursday with leis and grass skirts and wrapped up on Friday with “Mustang Spirit Day” where students proudly wore school colors, mums and garters to cheer on the football team in their Homecoming game against Cy-Springs.
“This year’s dress up week has to be my favorite one yet,” sophomore Thao Nguyen said. “I had such a fun experience walking in the hallway during the week and looking at what people were wearing.”
Many students were thrilled with this year’s unique Homecoming theme, “A Night in Paradise.”
“I love the beach and the idea of being in a paradise, so I’m really excited to attend the dance,” senior Cheyanne Beech said.
Homecoming week at Cypress Ranch was packed with exciting events, including a pep rally, parade, football game and the highly anticipated dance. However, what stands out most for many students is the school’s elaborate decorations with hallways adorned from floor to ceiling. The school entrance is decorated with a large mum created by the Cypress Ranch Agriculture Department, stretching from the second floor to the ground.
“My favorite part of Homecoming this year is definitely the decorations,” senior Isabella Halvorsen said. “They really went all out this year, and it’s amazing to see how much work the clubs put in. It’s nice to see the whole school come together to celebrate.”
As Homecoming week unfolds, the energy and school spirit at Cypress Ranch High School are unmistakable. From vibrant, tropical-themed outfits to the stunning, immersive decorations, the “A Night In Paradise” theme has elevated this year’s celebration into something truly unforgettable. These shared moments, whether it is twinning with friends, showing Mustang pride at the pep rally or cheering under the Friday night lights, have brought the entire school closer together, highlighting the unity and pride that define Cypress Ranch. The festive week has been a joyful celebration of what it truly means to be a Mustang.
