Cypress Ranch senior Niklas Fisher took the field at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Jan. 11, as part of the East team in the 2025 U.S. Navy All-American Bowl. Fisher, wearing No. 9, joined some of the nation’s top high school football talent in the annual all-star showcase, which aired live on NBC Sports.
The West ultimately secured a 13-7 victory, but for Fisher, the experience was about more than the final score.
Fisher reflected on his time at the Bowl.
“Being an All-American is really special. I’m the first college athlete in my family, so it means a lot to me to represent them like this,” Fisher said.
The week leading up to the game was packed with activities for the players.
“We woke up early, had breakfast and headed to the stadium to stretch, get ready and do some media stuff before the game,” Fisher said. “The practices were long, but that gave us time to get closer as teammates. I got to meet a lot of good people, and now I’m friends with them. It was a really cool experience.”
Fisher, a multi-position athlete and a leader on and off the field, is committed to Oregon State University, where he will continue his football career.
The U.S. Navy All-American Bowl serves as a stage for players like Fisher to showcase their skills while connecting with teammates and coaches from across the country. For Fisher, the week was a memorable milestone.
“I’m just blessed that I could be part of something like this,” he said.
