Blue Out Game Against Jersey Village

On Sept. 23, the Cy Ranch Varsity Football team had their annual game against Jersey Village. The game coincided with “Blue Out,” which has been a tradition since the school started in 2008.

The game wasn’t even close for the Ranch team, who won with a score of 26 to Jersey Village’s 14.  Ranch was dominant in all 3 phases, through 4 quarters.

A number of fans came into this year wary, as many of players on last year’s offense were Seniors. There were fears that with a new offense would come fewer points. However, these past few games have put those fears to rest.  Our offense here at Ranch is more than capable of putting numbers on the board.

With many returning players, the Ranch defensive squad put on a show.  It seemed easy for them at times, and the team continues to improve on both sides of the ball.  With the amount of progress along with the team’s amazing track record, it should be safe to say that the Mustangs are in for one heck of a season.

The game had a massive turnout with Mustang Nation showing up in force. The student section was ecstatic and hyped to be there – once again showing the district that no one can compete with the energy that Stampede and our organizations bring to the field every week.
