Coolmath Games Returns with a Vengeance!
September 11, 2018
This year seemed like it would be a different experience for many CFISD students. Clear backpacks, mandatory badges, more safety policies, and the blocking of Coolmath games from CFISD computers. Out of all the changes this year however, the banning of Coolmath sent students and faculty into an outrage.
“This is a dark day for all top-tier Snake and Papa’s games players everywhere,” junior Jason Tallant said.
After three days of angry students spreading the word about this horrendous action, our voices were finally heard. On September 4th, Coolmath was returned to the computer screens of all Cy-Fair students. Many jumped high in victory and others wept with joy, but we all played our hearts out on those fantastic, silly, definitely educational games.
I strongly believe this shows the power of the people, and that the little guy really can make a difference. Or the district got tired of our whining so they just stopped caring about the ban. Either way, the return of Coolmath represents the power of speaking against tyranny and oppression.
