Stan Lee, Creator of Marvel Comics, Passes Away at 95

On Monday morning, November 12th, Stan Lee passed away at age 95. Lee passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after being rushed to the hospital from his Hollywood Hills home. TMZ reports that he had been struggling with pneumonia and vision issues for the past several years prior to his passing.
J.C. Lee confirmed her father’s passing to news outlets, going on to say “My father loved all his fans. He was the greatest, most decent man.”
Stan Lee is the former editor-in-chief, chairman and publisher of Marvel Comics. His career began in 1939 when he took an assistant job at Timely Comics, at only 17 years old.
In 1961, Lee co-created Marvel Comics along with Jack Kirby. He started with The Fantastic Four and went on to create Spider-Man, the Mighty Thor, Black Panther, The Incredible Hulk, X-men, Iron Man, The Avengers, Ant-Man and more.
Lee was known to make cameo appearances in every Marvel movie released. He transformed Marvel into a legendary multimedia company with it becoming the number one publisher for comic books.
A lot had happened for Lee throughout the past few years. Joan, his wife of 69 years, passed away also at age 95 last year.
In July 2017, he sued executives at POW! Entertainment, a company he created in 2001. He sued his ex-business manager also that year. In June 2018, LAPD were said to be investigating reports of elder abuse against Stan Lee. All of this led to a hectic and stressful past two years for the writer.
Overall, Stan Lee left an outstanding legacy by leaving a huge impact on Marvel and comic books everywhere.
