Former President George H.W. Bush Passes Away at 94

The 41st President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, passed away on December 1, 2018. He was 94 years old.

Both a true patriot and a loyal family man, George H.W. Bush will be remembered well by history as a respected and dedicated politician who put family above all.

President Bush passed away at his home in Houston, with is last words uttered to his eldest son – 43rd President George W. Bush – who told his father over a speakerphone that he had been “a wonderful dad” and that he loved him. George H.W. replied, “I love you, too.”

The nations oldest living former president had been struggling with Vascular Parkinsonism prior to his death, which forced him to use a wheelchair or motorized scooter in recent years. In addition, he has been in and out of the hospital during the time as his health deteriorated.

His passing was less than eight months apart from his wife of over 70 years, Barbara Bush.

A public service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Washington’s National Cathedral in Washington D.C.. President of the United States, Donald Trump, declared Wednesday be a national holiday to honor and mourn the former president.

The president’s remains will then be sent to Houston for a private service for his family and close friends at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

His final resting place will be in College Station at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum where he buried next to his wife and their daughter, Robin, who died of leukemia at age 3.
