The atmosphere in the second floor LGI was electric with excitement and anticipation as friends, family, coaches, and onlookers waited for two senior girls, Miranda Bazan and Autumn Holloway, to officially accept offers from colleges impressed by their athletic talent.
Softball coach Sarah Scheffer opened the congratulatory ceremony by expressing her pride and delight at her athletes’ accomplishments.
“We are all so proud of them both,” she said.
Bazan was grinning widely as she signed onto Navarro Junior College in Waxahacie, Texas, Scheffer standing proudly behind her.
Holloway’s face was similarly gleeful as she accepted her offer from Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas, as Scheffer looked on.
After both girls had signed on to their respective colleges, friends and family members ambushed the stage to show their joy. The entire room, it seemed, encompassed the girls in a giant bear hug, filling the room with an aura of jubilation.
