It’s not often we see a track runner receive an invitation from Nike as a junior, but one exceptional athlete has defied the odds. Due to her performance stats, Celeste Robinson has captured the attention of the sporting world, earning an invitation to compete at the prestigious Nike Outdoor Nationals.
“Whenever I received news that Nike wanted me to run for them, I was so excited, and couldn’t believe that God had blessed me with an opportunity as big as this,¨ Celeste said. “Younger Celeste would be very proud.”
In July, Robinson will be traveling to Nike Headquarters in Oregon for her orientation. She will participate in the Nike Outdoor Nationals in June. For the 2025 track season, she plans to travel to Florida, California, Austin, Texas, Oregon, and New York to run alongside Nike.
Nike’s interest spiked due to Robinson’s record-breaking performance this year. Throughout her junior track season, she has shattered records and left her mark on the track. Her current season, Robinson has broken the school record and CFISD record in the 100 meter with the time of 11.37 seconds and 200 meter with 23.25 seconds. Additionally, she holds the 200m record at Waco High School (Region 2-6A).
Her performances have not gone unnoticed by top collegiate programs, with recruitment interest from prestigious institutions across the country such as LSU, University of Texas, USC, University of Florida, University of Tennessee, and more. However, Robinson is focused on the opportunities that lie ahead with Nike and plans to make the most of her current track season.
Reflecting on Celeste’s journey, her father, Zander Robinson, expressed overwhelming pride in her achievements. “My family and I are so proud of Celeste,” Zander said. “She has accomplished a lot athletically, grown spiritually, and has done a tremendous job academically. We can’t wait to see the many more blessings God has in store for her.”
