Pep Rally Raises Spirits

Cheers and chants erupted from the school gym as the first pep rally of the year created an atmosphere of cheer and school spirit. Held twice to include the entire student body, students and their teachers enjoyed the festive introduction to the team, cheerleaders, dance team, colorguard, and band.  The Cy Ranch varsity football team pumped each other (and the the student body) up before the Homecoming game that night, Sept. 12, against Cy Lakes High School, with help from the cheerleaders and the Classics.

Each time  the students filed into the stands for their first pep rally the cheerleaders and band got the crowd moving with energetic routines and musical pieces. The Classics preformed a hip hop-style dance, which spread energy and funk throughout all of the gym. Following the dance performance, the cheerleaders wowed the crowd with multiple creative stunts, including a pyramid.

All of the encouragement from the student body, faculty and staff seemed to pay off on the field, as Cy Ranch won against Cy Lakes later that night in the Homecoming Game, with the resulting score of 32-2.
