Pony Up Ropes Together Student Body

Each new school year, intimidated freshmen wander the halls while the upperclassmen return to the school they are familiar with. In order to provide guidance to these new Fish, a few assistant principals at Cy Ranch started a program called Pony Up.

Once a month, all freshmen pile into the school gym where they are greeted by juniors and seniors in matching blue t-shirts. Each freshman student is assigned to a group with a few other fellow classmates and one upperclassman mentor, whom they will meet with for the rest of the school year.

In these groups, the mentor gives information about clubs and extracurricular activities at the Ranch. Students talk about their classes and the struggles they face, while the leaders share advice and stories that make high school seem less frightening.

Pony Up is a program where students can learn how to get involved throughout their four years in high school and make great friends while doing it.
