PSAT Registration Open

For many juniors, the testing season is strenuous–and it has just begun.

Registration for the PSAT began on Monday, Aug. 31, and sophomore and junior students can sign up for the test through Friday, Oct. 2. Registration costs $20. The test will be on Wednesday, Oct. 14, lasting from first to third period.

The PSAT serves as a precursor for the SAT, and measures critical reading, writing, and mathematical skills students need for both the SAT and college.

Though both sophomore and junior students can sign up, only juniors have the opportunity to be considered a National Merit Scholar and earn scholarships for the achievement.  Nonetheless, it is highly recommended that sophomores take the test in order to get an early assessment of their skills, and have a better chance of securing a higher score the second time around.

To register, students can go online here.
