School Closed for Columbus Day
All CFISD schools will be closed due to the public holiday, Christopher Columbus Day.
Oct. 13 is celebrated as the day Columbus found the Americas.
Various countries in the Americas, Italy and Spain celebrate this holiday by closing schools and some businesses. Parades and festivals take place on this day to remember the courageous journey made to find the New World.
School will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
