The Fairfield Recreational Center was put to a different use than the usual baseball games that take place on the back fields. On Sunday, Jan. 25, Cypress Ranch students formed kickball teams and competed against each other in the annual Cy Ranch MANE Event Kickball Tournament.

MANE Event hosted the tournament and all proceeds went towards this year’s Senior Prom. Gift cards, ribbons, and, of course, medals were given to some of the players who participated in the fun competition.

The students came decked out in homemade team shirts and some even in real football jerseys with their names stitched into the back, each team ready to take home the medal. The teams competed from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M., playing kickball game after kickball game. However, only one team came out on top.

Sweating under the sun while raising money for their prom, team Savage Squad stepped up to the plate and were eventually crowned the 2015 kickball champs.
