Excited freshman accompanied by their nervous parents attended the annual electives fair on Tuesday, Feb. 17 and were greeted by a plate of cookies, a hand-shaking robot, and bright plans for their high school career.

Once the students left after the last bell, the cafeteria was transformed into a room filled with possibilities. Booths for various clubs and classes lined the walls, and clubs such as Culinary and Drama offered insight into their purpose and generated excitement for visiting incoming freshman and returning sophomores.

All of the clubs displayed activities and projects that take place in their organization. With Robotics Club showing off their $5,000 robot and the Engineering class handing out key chains engraved by the students, it was obvious that each organization tried their hardest to prove that students would learn exciting skills and have fun.

There are almost 100 different clubs at Cy Ranch that are offered to students and each year more clubs are created. Clubs are a great way to get involved with the school and community and offer the opportunity to meet friends who share common interests.
