New Program Helps Freshmen

The Mustang Stable is here! But… What is it? Easy, it’s a tutoring program for freshmen that is at their disposal during all lunches of the day. The Stable is run by Pony Up mentors who help students with English I, Algebra, Biology and a few minor subjects they may be struggling in.

“It helps freshmen if they’re struggling in any core classes,” freshman Cullen Reddington said.

The Stable’s main purpose is to help freshmen raise their GPA early so they aren’t struggling to get it up for their next three years of high school.  It’s easily the best new program the school may have to offer.

“It helped a lot,” freshman Trish Rohilla said. “I’m passing now. I wasn’t passing before.”

This is the Stable’s first year, and the program plans on being continued. As of right now, it should be at the school during lunches again next year.

The tutoring takes place in the main hallway during all lunches every day of the week.

However, just because it’s only for freshmen doesn’t mean that upperclassmen can’t get help anywhere else. There are still tutorials before and after school, with the schedule online on the school’s website.
