Juniors Take ACT
Along with the academic and social anxieties that come with being in high school, standardized and college preparatory tests are added to the mix around a student’s junior year. At least two expensive tests are typically required for college admission, depending on the college. But whether students agree with the purpose of the tests such as the SAT or the ACT, universities do not seem to be going away with these tests anytime soon. CFISD provides this opportunity to all junior students to better prepare our students for college.
On Tues., February 27, every Cypress Ranch junior will take the ACT for free. Typically, it costs around $90 to take the test, but the staff will be administering the ACT with no cost and a bonus for hopeful applicants.
The test will take the majority of the school day, so classes will be relocated throughout the day. Check the columns in the hallway for updated classrooms.
Good luck to all of the students taking the ACT. Take advantage of this free opportunity!
