The internet lost its collective mind on Monday Night Football, as The Last Jedi trailer was released. The Star Wars franchise is enormous, and there are high expectations with every new movie. The trailer was immediately trending at on YouTube and ticket pre-sales are already through the roof.  Itwas visually stunning – with special effects and music cues on point. Fans were introduced to a feeling of atmospheric darkness – seeing characters being pushed to their absolute limits.

The Last Jedi is the second film in the new trilogy, the first being The Force Awakens. The trailer also showed clips of the late Carrie Fisher (1956-2016).

Even with all of the goodies, the internet seemed to take one thing out of the trailer above all else: PORG MANIA!!! The little fuzzy creature who sits beside Chewbacca snatched the hearts of fans.

Fans everywhere are hungry for everything Star Wars. With spin-offs like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story seeing massive success (and a new Han Solo spin-off in the works), the galaxy far away isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.  Episode VIII releases on December 15 and is directed by Rian Johnson.
