Whats on TV This Fall?

Procrastination is a malicious act which consumes us all. What better time to procrastinate, (unless you are some alien who gets all their work done on time) than fall. The weather gets colder and nights get longer. As the holiday season approaches, now is the perfect time to become a glorious couch potato and watch TV.

With the exception of premium channels and online streaming (eg. Netflix) new seasons of television shows get released in autumn, spiraling people into the cycle of binge-watching.

Here is this year’s fall lineup, listed by channel:

ABC:

Once Upon a Time – Fridays 8/7c

When a group of popular fairy-tale characters gets cursed by an evil queen and sent to our world, it’s up to a woman named Emma to save them.

The Good Doctor – Mondays 10/9c

A young, autistic surgeon deals with social stereotypes in an upscale hospital in San Jose, California.

Black-ish – Tuesdays 9/8c

A comedy about an African American family confronted with cultural assimilation.  

Grey’s Anatomy – Thursdays 8/7c

A medical drama about a group of doctors in Seattle.

Inhumans – Fridays 9/8c

A Marvel show surrounding the Inhuman royal family and their actions to save humanity from Black Bolt, the King of Attilan who possess a deadly whisper.

The Mayor – Tuesdays 9:30/8:30c

A comedy about a young African American man becomes mayor.

 

CBS:

Star Trek Discovery – Sundays 9:30/6:30c

A prequel show to 1960’s Star Trek series following the USS Discovery, as its crew discovers new civilizations and explores the galaxy.

6O Minutes – Sundays 7/6c

60 minutes of segmented, informational news. Hosted by journalist Lara Logan.

NCIS – Tuesdays 9/8c

A crime show filled with colorful personalities who investigate crimes.

Criminal Minds – Wednesday 9/8c

An FBI squad analyzes the some of the nation’s most twisted criminals.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert – Weeknights 11:35/10:35c

Actor and comedian Stephen Colbert entertains audiences with topical political monologues celebrity interviews.

The Late, Late Show with James Corden – Weeknights 12:37/11:37c

Actor and comedian James Corden engages with celebrities in funny sketches and interviews.

 

NBC:

The Voice – Monday and Tuesdays 8/7c

Contestants audition for a spot on one of four teams in this highly-popular singing contest.

Will And Grace – Thursdays 9/8c

A comedy about best friends Will and Grace, who share a New York apartment.

A drama about the Pearson family and their triumphs and struggles.

A dark and complex world of America’s elite, undercover military heroes.

Arrow – Thursday 9/8c

Billionaire Oliver Queen tries to balance life as a father, mayor and vigilante.

Supergirl – Tuesdays 8/7c

Superman’s cousin Kara tries to find her own identity as a superhero.

The Flash – Tuesday 8/7c

Barry Allen, who has the ability of super speed, saves the world from evil.

DC Legends of Tomorrow – Tuesday 9/8c

A ragtag group of heroes and villains travel through time to stop the world from impending doom. As silly and fun as it sounds.
