The symphonic band and percussion ensemble have been invited to perform at the Music for All National Festival in Indiana. The 80 students involved will travel to Indianapolis Mar. 5 through Mar. 8. The journey by bus may be a long one, but the destination is worth it.

Last year, the band sent in a recording for judges to consider and was honored by their response. The Cy Ranch band was invited to be recognized at a national level at this year’s festival.

The percussion ensemble is scheduled to perform on Mar. 7, led by the director of percussion, Kyle Stahl. Symphonic band will be featured the next morning, directed by Russell Holcombe.

This festival is unique because it is a noncompetitive showcase of bands from across the nation. Band President Marisa Kelly comments that she is excited to hear the others who qualified.
