Adarlan’s Assassin endured one long year in the slave labor camp, Endovier, but now she is offered a chance at freedom. The king is holding a contest for the most ruthless characters in the kingdom and the winner earns the position of Champion.
The most surprising factor: the country’s most dangerous slayer is a beautiful girl, only 18 years of age by the name Celaena Sardothien. She will go up against heartless mercenaries, cold-blooded murderers, cunning thieves, and skilled assassins in a challenge of wits and strength. Yet, still there are more mysterious threats awaiting Celaena.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas is a thrilling fantasy that will keep readers hooked to the end. The characters are beautifully developed into relatable people, despite the fairy tale setting. The perfect blend of adventure and romance makes for a wonderful reading experience.
Be warned: Upon finishing this novel, it is near impossible to resist picking up the sequel, Crown of Midnight. Maas is currently planning on expanding the series to six books. The third installment is schedule to be released in September this year; however five prequel novellas also tell tales of Adarlan’s Assassin.
