Carey Jones, Dalton Stark, Aimee Wilhelm, Derek Dickerson, and Corbin Martin sigh letters of intent to play college basketball.

Wednesday, November 13, 2013 was a great day for seven Cy Ranch athletes and their coaches.  The LGI was filled with family, friends, administration, teachers, and teammates of the seniors who were selected to sign a letter of intent to play college ball.

Coach Pope proudly watched his players accept recognition for a job well done and talent that shines. It was game on at 1:40 P.M. when  the following baseball players signed a letter of intent to various colleges throughout Texas. Derek Dickerson will play for the University of Houston,  Corbin Martin will play for Texas A&M, Dalton Stark will play for Texas Tech University, and Carey Jones will play for Houston Baptist University.  These young men  have been playing baseball for many years, taking the Cy Ranch Mustangs all the way to win the state championship title in 2012.

Right in the middle of these gentlemen sat Aimee Wilhelm, senior volleyball player for the Lady Mustangs.  Aimee signed with the University of Texas at Dallas and will start in the fall as a key player on the Comets.  Coach Arley Kocher and the coaching staff enjoyed watching this young lady sign on, proud to see her skills recognized and rewarded.

The celebration in the room continued for two Lady Mustang basketball players at 3:00 P.M.  Sydney Coleman and Cienna Rodriguez were surrounded by their coaches, parents, and teammates as they signed their letters of intent to play college basketball. These lady athletes have been successful leading their team in a winning tradition.

Coach Tresa Hornsby watched her players enjoy the spotlight and the media as they signed their names.  Sydney Coleman will play for the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and Cienna Rodriguez joins the Ragin’ Cajuns at the University of Louisiana.

The Mustang basketball season is heating up, you can watch these ladies and their teammates continue to rule the court together.

Congratulations to all of our athletes and their families, we look forward to seeing you on the field, on the ball, and on to another exciting opportunity. It truly is a great day to be a Mustang!
